If LttP is ever released on Steam as raw pixel art, we'll get pink-haired link and people are going to be confused. Link was obviously not intended to have neon pink hair in LttP but the artist used it to create a color (cherry blond?) that they couldn't get otherwise. That picture is also a great example of the color encoding that you don't get in raw RGB. That's exactly the effect I've been yammering about in this thread. Look at the item box in the top-left and check out how much the color bleeds out on the bottom-right corner. If you go to the second Zelda comparison you can see that there isn't really any difference in color fringing between s-video and RF or composite. I'm certainly not arguing that the signal jitter is necessary. The difference is really that you don't get noticeable signal jitter with s-video so the picture is stable, like you said, but you still get color fringing. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
